Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group in Lake Forest and Grayslake
Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital is pleased to welcome two Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group (NMPG) practices in Lake Forest and Grayslake.
NMPG is a multi-site practice of primary care physicians who are on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and faculty members of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. NMPG practices bring the exceptional primary care of Northwestern Memorial directly to our Lake County communities.
Physicians at the Lake Forest office include board-certified internists Rachel Oosterbaan, MD, and David Vigder, MD, SC, as well as board-certified gynecologist Susan Shaw, MD. The new Grayslake office is led by Dana Ben-Dov, MD, a board-certified internist.
All NMPG physicians will coordinate your overall medical needs, outline health and wellness guidelines and connect you with top specialists. Being on staff at both Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and Northwestern Memorial means these physicians have access to advanced care at an academic medical center in Chicago, as well as local specialty care in Lake County.

Rachel Oosterbaan, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing medicine since 1998. Dr. Oosterbaan believes in forming partnerships with her patients and prides herself on her thorough approach to patient care. Her clinical interests include breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, cardiovascular disease and international medicine. |

David Vigder, MD, SC is board certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in primary care for men and women 17 years of age and older. He has been practicing in Lake Forest since 1998. Dr. Vigder is committed to maintaining a high level of personalized healthcare for each of his patients. His clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of sprains, strains and various infections; diabetes; hypertension; thyroid disorders; headaches; abdominal pain; gastric reflux; anxiety and depression. |
Gynecology

Susan Shaw, MD is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She specializes in gynecology only for women of all ages from pediatrics to beyond menopause, and has been in practice since 2000. Dr. Shaw's clinical interests include pediatric gynecology.

Becki Houglum, PAC has been working with patients for more than 13 years. She is a fully licensed physician’s assistant (PA) who is certified to evaluate and treat patients.
