Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation (NMFF) is a faculty practice plan for the full-time faculty of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Comprised of more than 650 physicians and other healthcare professionals, NMFF provides support for the clinical care activities of its members, a venue for medical education and clinical research, charitable outreach to the community and financial support for the academic mission of the Feinberg School of Medicine.

Department: Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute
This dynamic position offers an opportunity to work closely with top academic and research physicians who are affiliated with Northwestern University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with a physician and other multidisciplinary healthcare members to provide quality management of patient care and family healthcare needs.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing direct patient care, consultation and education as outlined within the collaborative agreement. You will work independently to obtain medical histories, perform appropriate physical assessments and examinations, have prescriptive authority per agreement, order and perform diagnostic tests and collaboratively formulate a plan of care for the patient population that this department serves.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will facilitate the delivery of exceptional healthcare to our patients. This position will support Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery practices at the Lake Forest location.
License/Certification: CPR,APN,IL RN

Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group is expanding our practices in Northbrook, Lake Forest, Grayslake. We are looking for experienced Medical Assistants to join our team. Local candidates only willing to work in the northern Illinois region.
Essential Functions
Draw blood, administer injections, and perform EKGs as directed by a physician. Escort patients to exam rooms, take appropriate vital signs, set up procedure trays and assist physician with procedures. Manage patient flow in the office, keeping physicians timely and prioritize tasks accordingly. Assist patients with scheduling appointments or diagnostic testing. Manage telephone messages as directed by the MD.
Qualifications
Required: Hold either AAMA or AMT from an accredited Medical Assisting program; High School Diploma or GED required; Minimum of three years work experience in a medical or related business office; Working knowledge of phlebotomy and administering injections. Desired: Associates Degree.
